Our mission to build secure non-China supply chains began over a decade ago in anticipation of anti-China sentiment and geopolitical risks.  We currently operate in China, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia and our team completed a multi-week trip Vietnam and Cambodia less than a week before the tariff war began.  As with all our trips, our time was spent personally inspecting factories and building personal relationship to secure excellent manufacturing solutions.

Before the latest tariffs, non-China Asian countries outside of China were more expensive on most products, but the recent trade war has made them a safe(r) haven with significantly lower prices and reduced tariff risk.  Although new tariffs are pending on both Vietnam and Cambodia, those are still well under half the current base tariffs on China and are only expected to go down as both countries came to the table immediately to negotiate. Our best guess is that after the dust settles, China will be the outlier with higher tariffs and net pricing than Vietnam and Cambodia.  However, product ranges are limited in these alternative countries.  China will remain a significant supplier as competing Asian countries diversify their product offerings.
