About RTB West
Our staff spends an inordinate amount of time in the Asian factories that we use to produce our goods. We know the machines, the processes and the people involved in production, which gives us the tools to offer innovative and executable solutions. This is a critical component of service and a key differentiator from our competitors. There is a big difference between seeing a pretty Shenzhen factory while stay in a nice hotel and slogging through the hinterlands of Asia spending time understanding the “lesser” factories where most of the goods you buy are actually produced! We also have our own staff on the ground in both China and Vietnam. There is no way to succeed in these markets without local knowledge and oversight.
James Inglese
Founder & Owner of RTB West
Jim Inglese graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University’s Business School with a major in business management and a minor in marketing. After spending 13 years immersed in corporate healthcare product development and project management he founded RTB West in 2001. Over the ensuing 19 years he’s grown RTB into one of the most highly-respected import companies in the industry. He has accumulated over 400 days of ground time in Asia, with nearly all of it spent in factories building a deep understanding of manufacturing processes people and culture. Jim is also an avid sailor, free-diver, and spear-fisherman, and once upon a time was one of the top age-group triathletes in the US.
Darren Ankosko
Account Executive
Darren was recruited as an account executive for RTB West immediately following the completion of his collegiate career at the University of Virginia in May 2010 where he was an All American Student Athlete and Olympic Trials competitor. His fresh outlook on the promotional premiums industry combined with over 2 months of hands-on overseas training in our factories has allowed him to secure and grow multiple large accounts including annual award and tax season kits for Ameriprise Financial (~$210k/yr) and tin/paperboard packaging products for a large snack retailer (~$500k/yr).
Nick Ankosko
Account Executive
Nick joined the RTB West team in early 2017 with a fresh view of the promotional industry, a better understanding of millennial’s and social-media savvy. He brings client, team, and project management skills from his time spent as the youngest Location Manager of the nation’s largest commercial building materials distributor. Nick interned for RTB for two summers while attending The Pennsylvania State University where he completed his degree in Business Management as an Academic All-Big Ten Student Athlete, three time Penn State Record Holder, and NCAA and Olympic Trials competitor. With his months of interning and training, over 70 factory visits in China and Vietnam combined, and repeated hands on overseas experience Nick has taken on and continues to grow one of RTB’s largest accounts (~1 Million/yr) while continually pursuing new business opportunities.
Christina Licciardi
Chief Preventer, Organizer and Fixer
Christina Licciardi graduated with her B.F.A from the University of Mississippi in 2008. Since joining the RTB West family in 2012, she has worn several hats, all of which have “indispensable” written on the tag inside. From developing and managing our flash drive division to attending conventions as a brand ambassador, to customer relations and office administration, Christina never fails to impress both internal and external stakeholders. With her fantastic interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail and commitment to getting things done right, her impressive multi-tasking skills allow us to focus on our clients and quality service secure in the knowledge that she’s making sure nothing slips through the cracks. Anything that leaves her hands does so, cleaner, brighter, and generally smarter than before she touched it.
Antonio Reed
Sales Associate
Antonio has been in sales since he was 15, when he started buying and selling bicycles while honing his downhill racing skills enough to turn pro. At 17 he began flipping cars and at 20 moved quickly from being the top salesman in an on-trend sports shoe store to become the store manager. In 3 months, he turned the lowest grossing store in the region into the highest. At 22 he leveraged his sales training and management skills to build a team that quickly made him one of the top club promoters in Hollywood where he worked with the highest grossing clubs in CA. Antonio has a nuanced skillset that starts with a genuine concern for his clients. He is a man of family and faith who spends his spare time with his wife and kids and serving in his church’s Children’s ministry.
Gigi Tam
Director, China Sourcing
Gigi Tam joined RTB West in 2011. She holds a degree from Guangdong Financial & Economical College with a major in International Trading and Business English and has a work history in both manufacturing and international sales. With literally thousands of factory visits under her belt she brings a wealth of experience and skills to the table. Her hands on experience and language skills help her bridge the gap between the US and Asia, and bring a very valuable perspective to the table. Gigi provides our team with on-site management within Chinese factories; site visits, product procurement and quality control and assurance to create that extra level of confidence for our clients. Gigi is a vital part of our ability to deliver on our mission statement: Getting things DONE RIGHT in Asia.
Effie Lu
Specialist, China Sourcing
Effie graduated from Gannan Normal University School of Business, majoring in international trade with a Bachelor’s in Economics. Before working at RTB West, Effie spent 10 years overseeing production and managing relationships for several different manufacturers. Her experience has polished her knowledge of all stages of production and product specification. Managing meetings and projects, overseeing production schedules and coordinating multiple departments and manufacturers are only a few of the skills Effie brings to our team. She is an ace at ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Ha Vu
Team Leader – Viet Nam Team Sourcing
Ha Vu is one of our global team members, and an invaluable resource, as an on-site employee for our business relationships within Viet Nam. With a Bachelor’s Degree from the Banking Academy of Viet Nam and an IELTS certification, her well-rounded background includes managing production and capacity within factories, over-seeing communications with customers and contracts, consulting with/and providing products and services to customers. Her bilingual skills and dedication shine through as she builds lasting relationships with factories and provides RTB West with eyes and ears on the ground in Viet Nam. In her free time, she enjoys travel, literature, badminton and swimming.
Daniel Ngo
Viet Nam Sourcing Specialist
Daniel Ngo joined RTB West when we expanded our business into Viet Nam. With his history in sales and experience in customer service and staff management, Daniel brings a resourceful dynamic to the RTB West team. We successfully deliver on our services for many reasons, one of which is our ability to offer on-site representatives worldwide. In Viet Nam, Daniel is our man. When Daniel is not visiting factories to manage quality control and product deliverables, he enjoys riding motorcycles and playing the guitar.
Walter Tu
Quality Control Specialist
Walter Tu joined RTB West after serving for many years as the head of Quality Control for a European conglomerate’s China manufacturing operations. He graduated from the Henan University of Science and Technology with a mechanics major. Along with his engineering skills, Walter has extensive experience in production management and client services. Walter is one of our key resources for controlling quality in China.
